The Instructor
Monika Seiz was born and grew up in Germany. She lived in Paris for 10 years, working as International Training Manager and Public Relations Director for the French Cosmetic Company Clarins. In 1984 she went to Japan to study traditional Oriental Healing Arts.
Monika has lived in Kauai, Hawaii since 1987. She finds endless inspiration and fascination in the Hawaiian Culture and Aloha Spirit. In the period of 7 years she studied Hawaiian Bodywork and many different styles of traditional Lomi Lomi. Among her teachers are Kahu Abraham Kawai'i and Aunty Margaret Machado. She joined a Hula Halau (Hula school) in 1990 and has trained ever since with a Kumu Hula (master of Hula and Hawaiian Culture).
Monika has been involved in the healing arts for 28 years. She has also trained in modalities like Neuromuscular Pain Therapy, Myofascial Release, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Zen Body Therapy, Foot Reflexology, Qi Gong and Yoga. She operates her own Massage Studio in Hawaii and teaches in Hawaii, California, and Europe.
